Successful 2007 Oak Brook Fraternal Order of Police Annual
Fundraiser Dinner Dance (Summer 2007)
We are delighted with the success of our
2007 Oak Brook Fraternal Order of Police Annual Fundraiser Dinner Dance.
It is always wonderful to share special moments with such special
people from our community. Great company, tremendous gifts, great
food and as always the musical entertainment was superb and enjoyed
by all. I think everyone who attended had a really good time.
Kids In Need is so grateful for all your donations. We would
also like to mention that none of this would have been possible
without the tremendous support of our members, guests, partners
and associates, who very generously donated their time, services
and money. Not only did you do an outstanding job of raising
money but you also made it look so easy! We would like to extend
our thanks to everyone who played their part in making the evening
such a success. A special thanks from Kids In Need board, staff
and families for the energy and support of Mark Delise and family.
On behalf of all the needy children in our area, thank you so
much for your generous support. < FOP

Oak Brook-Hinsdale Gateway Rotary Club (Spring 2007)
The Oak Brook-Hinsdale Gateway Rotary Club hosted the fabulous 'Casino Royale' fundraiser at Butterfield Country Club in February 2007. Event Chairman Jim Nibek and his wife were the perfect host and hostess welcoming area dignitaries from oak Brook, Hinsdale and DuPage County. Special guest greeted by the Nibeks was DuPage County Clerk of the Circuit Court Chris Kachiroubas. Also in attendance was County Board member Don Puchalski and several village board members from Oak Brook and Hinsdale.
Our favorite volunteers from KIN were Lt. Marc DeLise (Oak Brook Police) along with his wife Shirley and son Christopher and several of their friends who helped at the game tables. Also in attendance was KIN cofounder Barbara Gnau who manned the registration table along with Janet Montgomery (Rotary Club President) greeting guests as the arrived for the evenings festivities. A great time was enjoyed by all.
Our thanks to the Rotary Club for including Kids In Need as a benefactor in their successful event.

Even though it was cold outside, it was warm and very festive inside the grand ballroom of the Doral Eaglewood Resort in Itasca. KIN’s event Chairperson, Sandy Mitsch said, “We chose the Doral Eaglewood because it was so convenient and since it was recently remodeled, we would be one of the first organizations to actually use this brand new facility. It was just perfect for us!”
