YWCA of Greater Cincinnati Childcare Center
Both quiet and active play is the provided at the center. Play helps children to learn about themselves and their environment, as well as learn social skills. While playing, children learn problem solving, gaining self-confidence in their abilities, Play helps children to discover cause and effect, critical thinking skills, to develop language, relate to others, and develop readiness for academic learning. Our center philosophy is designed to promote and enhance the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of the children, by providing developmentally appropriate learning activities and curriculum. |
Children experience creativity, achievement, disappointment, sadness, pride, and joy through play. Play is the means by which children move and develop their bodies, as well as their thoughts, sight, hearing, and speech. Outdoor play is routine except when weather conditions are severe. All children are served a nutritious morning snack and afternoon snack, and lunch.
